Natural Fiber Suppressant Additive

RF Fiber can reduce the VOC’s in the ambient air. Unlike other additives such as paraffin or alternative monomers or additives, there are no poor secondary bonding problems between laminates. In fact RF Fiber is the only styrene suppressant that can increases physical properties and lowers costs. Impact Composite Technology LTD performs the necessary certified EPA Test Method M “Vapor Suppressant Effectiveness Test” with your resin to give you the Vapor Suppressant Factor (VSR) to use in emission control reporting.

How RF Fiber Suppressant's Styrene

RF Fiber is an organic, reinforcing particulate derived from natural fibers. Because of RF Fiber's unique chemical composition, it adsorbs as much as 3.25X its weight in styrene. During composite manufacturing with unsaturated polyester resins, RF Fiber acts like “steel rebar sponges” adsorbing and linking with the styrene, while trapping the styrene within the composite. Thereby, styrene vapor emissions are constrained from migrating into the atmosphereGive us call to get started today!
